Informational guidance, not a guarantee
LiftStain provides general stain-removal guidance for informational purposes, based on real stain chemistry and material- care research (see our methodology). Fabrics, finishes, dyes, and stone sealants vary in ways a general guide cannot fully account for, and a stain that has already dried, heat-set, or aged can end up impossible to fully lift no matter the method used. Always test any method on a hidden, inconspicuous area first, and always follow the manufacturer's or garment's care label where one exists — it takes priority over general guidance on this site.
Limitation of liability
Using a method described on this site is done at your own risk. We are not liable for damage to a specific garment, textile, furniture, flooring, or other surface that results from applying any method, product, or technique described here. If a stain or material is valuable, irreplaceable, or you are unsure a method is safe for it, consult a professional cleaner before attempting a home treatment.
Purchases
The printable stain removal chart is a digital product delivered by email after payment, as described on its product page. Because it is a digital good delivered on completion of purchase, sales are final except where required otherwise by law; contact contact@liftstain.com if delivery fails or the product is materially different from its description.
Content ownership
The text, structure, and organization of guides on LiftStain are original work and may not be republished elsewhere in bulk without permission. Short quotations with a link back are welcome.
Changes
These terms may be updated as the site grows; the "last updated" date above reflects the most recent change. Questions: contact@liftstain.com.
