Privacy Policy

LiftStain is a content-driven reference site. Most pages are static and require no account, no login, and no personal information to read. This policy covers what does get collected on the pages where something does.

What we collect

Browsing. Standard, aggregate web analytics (pages viewed, approximate location by country, device type) to understand which guides are useful and which need work. This data is not tied to your name or email.

Purchases. If you buy the printable stain removal chart, payment is processed by Stripe — LiftStain never sees or stores your card details. We receive your email address to deliver the product and send a receipt, and keep a record of the transaction for accounting and support purposes.

Donations. The same applies to a donation made via the support-us page: Stripe processes the payment, and we retain only the transaction record and the email address needed to send a thank-you confirmation.

Contact emails. If you email us directly, we keep that email thread for as long as is useful to resolve the question or correction you raised.

What we don't do

We do not sell personal data to third parties. We do not run retargeting ad pixels that build a cross-site profile of visitors. We do not require an account to read any guide on this site.

Cookies

The site uses only the minimum cookies needed for Stripe checkout to function and for basic, privacy-respecting analytics. No cookie here is used to build an advertising profile of you.

Your rights

You can ask what data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing contact@liftstain.com. We will respond and act on a legitimate request within a reasonable time.
